Brain Recovery Academy

The Brain Recovery Academy is an association following findings by Joseph Shafer to diagnose and treat Traumatic Brain Injury.

During the last couple of months, Joe has been gaining lot's of new insights on treatment of Brain injured patients.

He spends weeks and weeks, just treating TBI patients and saw some techniques being more effective than others.

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is any trauma to the brain after you are born. This includes stroke and of all types of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Even mild bumps on the head can eventually lead to a Persistent Post-Concussive Symptoms (PPCS) that will more often than not, worsen with time.

TBI symptoms are many and diffuse, often making it difficult to diagnose. Common complaints are headaches, fatigue, drowsiness, brain fog, loss of memory and concentration, mood swings, disorientation, depression, anxiety, insomnia, speech difficulties, loss of balance, dizziness, blurred vision, changes in smell and taste, sensitivity to light or sound, loss of coordination, muscle weakness and prickling sensations in the arms and legs.

Not even children are spared. How many children fall and hitting their head when attempting to walk or tumble from their bed or down a flight of stairs. The numbers are staggering. Sudden changes in eating or nursing habits, irritability, persistent crying, attention deficits, sleep disturbances, moody episodes and even depression, can all signal brain injury.

Now known as the ‘silent epidemic’, TBI is estimates to affects between 27 and 69 million worldwide every year, the number of people who continue to suffer with little hope of even partial recovery is continually growing. But there might be hope making this suffering a thing of the past.

A novel Brain Recovery Protocol, developed by Dr. Joseph Shafer, may help make TBI suffering a thing of the past.
The method uses a combination of non-invasive treatments that are proving to be extremely effective in helping many to improve or fully recover.

The technique is based on stimulation of certain parts of the brain using strong magnetic fields and at the same time activating specific pain point(s) on the extremities. Neurological tests are performed before and after treatment to verify the effectiveness of the treatment.
